In May 2013 “MilleniuM” Training and Development Institute will
host the 9 day training course on designing and facilitating non-formal
learning activities entitled "Do it Non-formal!". There will be 24
participants from 6 organizations representing Program countries
(Latvia, Italy, Romania, Estonia, Turkey) and 6 organizations
representing Partner countries from Eastern Partnership countries
(Moldova, Ukraine, Georgia and Belarus).
As the role of non-formal education is becoming increasingly more
important in the life-long learning context of every human being (not
only in the Program countries, but also the Eastern Partnership
countries), it is important that people who are in charge of non-formal
education activities are well aware of how to design and facilitate quality
non-formal education activities.
The main aim of the training is to gather youth workers, youthleaders,
peer-to-peer educators, project managers, volunteers and other
stakeholders working with young people who are interested in
increasing their understanding of non-formal education techniques and
increasing their competencies on how to plan, facilitate, and evaluate the
non-formal learning process during their daily work with youth and
during “Youth in Action” projects.

To ensure the training has a real
impact on participants, it will include
a wide spectrum of methods and
approaches.
Considering the different
learning styles of people, we will
make sure that the methods chosen
provide a good balance of
opportunities for different people and
are as interactive/involving as
possible.

The project includes 24 youth workers and young specialists from
Program countries (Latvia, Italy, Romania, Estonia, Turkey) and EECA
countries (Republic of Moldova, , Georgia, Ukraine and Belarus) - 2
participants from each organization.

Vadul lui Voda is a town in the Chisinau municipality. It is an
eastern suburb of the capital of the country, and it well known as a resort
area. The town is situated 23 km east of Chişinău on the right (western)
bank of the Dniester river. During the Soviet era, several million tons of
sand were brought in to create a wide artificial beach. Today it retains a
small, mostly local, tourist trade.

You will stay 2, 3 or 4 people in rooms with
bathroom and toilet in the room. You will be
provided with bed sheets and towels. No hair
dryers are available so if you need one, you
have to bring it yourself. The training room and
dining room are in the same building.

Organizers will provide participants with
three meals per day, coffee breaks and
purified water. As we expect a rather diverse
group, we will make sure both vegetarians
and those who prefer meat have something
that they like☺. However, we strongly
recommend participants to inform the
organizers IN ADVANCE about any special
needs such are dietary, vegetarian or any
other kind of special needs.
